December Lodge Meeting - Christmas Party
Saturday, Dec.7, 2013
6:00 PM
St. Leo's K of C Hall

BUON NATALE: The Children's Christmas Party will be held on December 7th at the St Leo’s Knights of Columbus Hall, Fairfax on Old Lee Highway. We will celebrate with a family style POT LUCK dinner, Christmas stories, gifts from Santa, and La Befana will fly in. There will also be a presentation of the LaBefana story - in which the younger attendees will have an opportunity to participate. These members and guests are asked to bring their creative, dramatic and oratorical energy - talent not required!

IMPORTANT: It is especially important to call in your reservation, including the Name, Gender and Age of children you will be bringing so we can ensure Santa will have a gift for each child under the age of 12!!! RSVP to John Asiello at 703 321-7840 not later than November 28th which will give Santa time to select a gift for your children. CHILDREN MUST BE PRESENT AT THE MEETING TO RECIEVE A GIFT!

GIVE A GIFT: In keeping with the giving spirit of the holiday, members have the opportunity to participate in the following: each child or any other member or guest attending the meeting is invited to bring and place under the tree an unwrapped gift costing not more than $10.00. Please put a tag on it indicating appropriate age and gender. The hospital, where the gifts will be taken, has requested that the gifts not be wrapped as they cannot give the children gifts without inspecting them. The gifts brought to the party will be taken to the Hospital for Sick Children on December 9th or 10th. Anyone interested in accompanying these gifts to the hospital should contact Joe Saia at 703 978-8499. Children are especially welcome to help take these gifts to children less fortunate.

**The meal will be traditional pot luck, with a focus on entrees or side dishes that will feed at least 6 to 8 people, as there is usually a large turnout for this meeting. Anyone wanting to bring something additional can also bring a dessert or appetizer.**

January Lodge Meeting
Saturday, January 12, 2013
6:30 PM
St. Leo's K of C Hall

Our January 12th lodge meeting will include as part of the program an auction.

Gene La Colla and Eleanor Lillo have done a great job as auctioneers in the past, and we look forward to their participation again this year. Please check your attic, storage rooms, and cabinets for useful items that you no longer want and would like to part with.

Remember, "Someone’s junk is someone else's treasure." So get these objects ready to donate for the January auction and be prepared to bid on their replacements. The more you donate will help the success of this fund raiser (no clothes, please!).

Remember, the auction is fun and a fund raiser. Don't miss it this month and invite relatives and friends to come out and bid on these treasures. They are always most welcome. PLEASE BRING FINGER FOODS - this way the auction can start early and guests can easily help themselves to food and drinks during the auction.
